Supervisors approve $245,000 in road maintenance contracts

PA PROVIDENCE — Providence supervisors approve road maintenance spending push. The Board of Supervisors unanimously awarded three contracts totaling $245,000 to Long's Asphalt, Asphalt Industries, and Asphalt Maintenance Solutions for equipment rental, seal coat work, and chip seal services for 2026. The supervisors also approved a $14,400 engineering proposal from ELA Group for traffic signal permit upgrades.
In zoning matters, the board unanimously approved eight waivers for Holtwood Mechanical at 751 Lancaster Pike and five waivers for New Providence Church of God at 269 Cinder Road. Supervisors denied a handicapped parking request on Main Street and tabled a second driveway request at 65 Cherokee Road pending additional documentation.
