PA PROVIDENCE — Providence Township Parks and Recreation Committee addresses trail maintenance and park improvements. The committee met April 9 to discuss ongoing work, with Township Manager Vicki Eldridge fielding requests from members including committee member Sean Smith. The committee heard that a park bench honoring Roy Snyder, built by the road crew, will be installed this spring or summer.
Eldridge will coordinate with the township roadmaster on stone dust needed to fill a washed-out area at the Sigman Road Bridge and will present to supervisors a request from Smith for a tool shed at the mountain bike park to support young volunteer trail maintainers.
